Christian Atheism
Huh?
Speaking at Speakers' Corner in London is a bit like weblogging: everyone's allowed to speak; some draw larger audiences than other, some have weirder messages than other... [read more about the history here]
In 1872, an Act of Parliament was passed allowing a space in the north-eastern corner of London's Hyde Park to be given over for public speaking. At that time Speakers' Corner was a place where thousands would turn up to debate serious political issues of the day. Even today, Speakers' Corner is one of Britain's most famous places for public debate and discussion, but the difference is that the crowds are far fewer in number and the orators present are usually of the type issuing prophecies of an impending global apocalypse.
Every Sunday the crowds of tourists still congregate at Speakers' Corner, more out of curiosity than enlightenment. (Source: WGuides)

Christian Atheism - "To Follow Jesus, Reject God". I'm not really sure what the whole thing was about, but figured it was an
interesting/
funny/intrigueing statement and shot a photo of it.
Christian atheism is a respectable and worthy position. The man has a real point. People can follow the humanitarian ethics of Jesus, but reject a "Being, out there" who many people call "God." There is no personal God who intervenes in history and cares about you and me.
To follow xian ethics without believing in God, is to base your position on nothing. Xian ethics claim to be true by virtue of God, without him they are as empty of truth as any other code of morality. Of course you could retreat to postmodernism, but that means that all morality is essentially equal, which means that people such as Hitler and Milosevic were just as 'right' in their actions as Mother Theresa
if a jew can be an atheist why not a xtian?
hitler and mother theresa were just as "right" in their actions as the other person.
to explain any term, you must take an objective pt of view, otherwise you are defining something with a bias. ppl arent looking for what you think about something, they are looking for what exactly that something is.
good and evil are "forces" both equal and neccessiary as the other. just as yin and yang.
personaly, i dont agree that hitler killed hundreds of thousands of innocent jews (of course not with his own hands, but with his orders).
i dissagree that he was killing people based on their values.
this means i dont agree with the people who take the lives of others on the basis that their religion is "wrong". this believe has no relevence with the name hitler when i define it.
one can not just sum up ones own thoughts on someone/something with just their name, and expect everyone else to understand what they are talking about.
